Frequently Asked Questions

What is needed?
All players need shin guards. Cleats are recommended for all ages but are required for ages 7+. Players will also want to wear soccer socks over shin guards (not under), especially for games. A drink is also needed at each training session (practice, game, etc.). Preferably water or sports drink.

What is provided?
A full uniform (jersey, shorts and soccer socks) is given to each player before Opening Day, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 10th.

When will I hear from a coach?
Coaches have been given their training requirements and, upon completion, will be issued their rosters. Once rosters are received, they will begin reaching out to parents and players.

When are practices and games?
Practice days and times are at the volunteer coach’s discretion. Games begin on Opening Day, Saturday, September 10th, and occur every Saturday through the end of October as well as weeknights once a week for the first three weeks of the season. The last games for the 3/4 and 5/6 Divisions are October 22nd.

The older Divisions will have a season end tournament, tentatively scheduled for October 29th with a rain date of November 5th. However, we haven’t fully worked out the tournament logistics and sometimes we use the turf at QACHS for the 12-14 Boys and Girls teams for playoff and Championship games, so stay tuned!

When do practices begin?
Practices may begin the week of August 15th.  Practice schedules are at the volunteer coach's discretion.

When is the game schedule released?
The schedule will be published on our website by September 1st.

Are there other important dates to be aware of?
On Opening Day, September 10th, players will have individual and team photos followed by their first games. It will be held at Rt. 18 Park (Centreville) this year and will be spread throughout the day to avoid parking issues.

Tuesday, September 13th is Youth Soccer Night at Queen Anne’s County High School’s Men’s Varsity Soccer Game, at their home stadium in Centreville against rival Kent County. Players who wear their jersey get in free and have an opportunity to be on the field with the players before the game begins.
